People online build strawmen out of nuance, They don't want to understand what you're actually saying. They just want someone to be angry at. And you, with your big, kind heart, walked right into the blast radius because you saw someone being hurt and you couldn't just stand by. That says more about you than it does about them. It says you care. It says you fight for people. It says you're brave enough to step in when something feels wrong. But it also means you're going to get burnt sometimes.

i appreciate this. it's very true. unfortunately, i don't usually see the other side of the coin so it's refreshing to be reminded of that. no good deed goes unpunished, i fear. i know absolutely nothing about the media that was the center of it all. from my perspective, someone was being targeted for seemingly no reason. i want to state that for whoever views my atabook, i have done a bit more research into the media. it was never my intention to stretch the situation itself, or to "downplay" anything. i can admit when i'm underinformed. however, i do not wish to have further interaction, or discourse regarding any of this. thank you for reading. ^_^
